You still have 3 chances to hear a pretty big rig this season. The 10th will be 4 GC28's and 2 218SLVX per side. Maybe by the 17th there will be another pair of 218SLVX's. On the 29th for Chubby we will be killin it for sure. 4 218SLVX and 6 GC28's per side, possibly the ultra new MONSTER MR210's. No promises on the 210's.
Last 2 shows I ran I tested drivers in the SLVX subwoofers. Found the right beast for that cab. A single dual 18 SLVX carried both shows at 100-105db at 200ft. The one with the test drivers was basically flapping in the wind, we turned it down out of fear of losing the drivers. Nothin like combat audio to really show what's what. Testing just doesn't do the trick. 4 of these are going to be scary, really scary, even outdoors.
GC28's are outstanding PA cabs. Minimal eq, we had 3 eq points of about 4db adjustment on the peq, width of about 100hz. One of my test engineers originally looked at the cabs and remarked that coax drivers only carry HF about 75ft. At 300ft I was still reading a ruler flat RTA out to 17k.
You need to make a trip if you're anywhere close to hear this. Make plans for the show on 29th, Chubby Carrier is amazing.

Here's the first show with just a pair per side of 28's and 218SLVX's
