Denver CO 11th.
Join Duke Lejuene and I as he premiers the latest offering in MVW technology. High end home audio cabs that are going to turn the audiophile world on it's head. I will be there in a support role for Duke, and am bringing GC25v's, home version, for the show, and some GC25E's in case any PA guys show up. It's one of the top audio shows in the country. You'll get to hear the best equipment on the market for home use.

Re: Denver CO 11th.
Flatter smoother sweeter. All home audio drivers. Not enough output for PA use. They're designed to be run full range without a subwoofer. Strong bass response to 40. I mean strong. They really don't need a sub unless you want it shake the building. They will kick you in the chest.
But the real story is the midrange/hf. Out freaking standing. Best cab to date. But it's designed for a very specific application, home audio/theater. The PA cabs have a purposeful strong midrange. You need it. This driver was specifically chosen for it's ruler flat response from 60hz to 5k. It actually extends to 8k, I had to tame it a bit above 6. They are an excellent match with the vifa tweeter, similar sounding with that sound you only get from silk domes.

What will be fun is you'll only need to cross to the sub at about 60hz.

Re: Denver CO 11th.
Sam, Diane, and I have randomly walked the show and listened to quite a few cabs. From about 4k a pair up to 10k a pair. Our considered biased opinion is that the only cabs we heard that could compete with the GC25ha were 8k and 10k respectively. Even then once you stepped off axis the Mvw waveguide killed them. The bass was tighter and more articulate than anything else we heard, some were the equal in the mids on axis. The 8k models were playing through about 200k of gear. I know the turntable in use is around 50k. None had the life of these cabs.
Duke's event horizons are in another league altogether. I keep hearing people walk out of the booth saying "interesting" with grins on their faces. When we first got there Duke had a table set up between the 210's to display the GC's. I sat down to listen, and there was a vortex interaction between the cabs, the GC'S were unhooked The GC's were flattening the image. We fixed that pretty quick. Still a learning curve on how the MVW works.

Re: Denver CO 11th.
870skitzofrenzy you sound like me But if you check our Big E Loudspeakers Facebook Page or Speaker Hardware you can see some video of the trip so far. Also if you look at Part-Time Audiophiles Facebook you can see a pic of the Event Horizon 210 from Audio Kinesis an MVW speaker which is loosely based on the Mike Arnopol Soundworks 210 Flex Bass cabinet.
Was told they even got a request to play pipe organ music from a convention visitor (with a warning that it goes to 20 Hz) on the the Event Horizon which was a great success on 30 Watts of Class A Tube Amp. Kind of like 100+ Watts on standard digital stuff. Shook the room and several others and modulated everyone's voices in the room.

Event Horizon 210 Review
Here is a link to Audio Circle and their discussion of the Event Horizon 210 by Audio Kinesis and the review by James Romeyn inventor of the LCS or Late Ceiling Splash system which provides a reverberant field, and winner of the Best In Show at RMAF by Tyson and Pez. While sharing the same room His/Dukes DreamMaker LCS system was in the spotlight position and was the cab reviewed in their room. Very nice Job by James Romeyn and Duke Lejeune.
